PARANORMALCY by Kiersten White

Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1)Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

(from Goodreads)
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.
But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.

I have really been on roll lately with reading such great books! But now that I said that I am going to start running into the opposite. Haha!

Anyway, this book gets a 4.5 stars from and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by it. I wasn't intertted in reading it at first because I haven't been in the mood for paranormal lately, but with the great reviews around this book, not to mention I got it for $5!, I decided to pick it up...and then if I didn't get a request to review it soon it would still be sitting on my bookshelf.

I am so glad that I picked this book up. Let me start off by saying that it definitely is not a blood sucking, killing type book. Nothing scary or the like. No, but it is action packed, suspensefilled and loaded with fun and witty moments. Not to mention the love triangle that we all love.

Evie is the 16yo that lives at the IPCA and she is the main character who tracks down paranormals and tags them with an ankle braclet. Not much fun for her and she is starting to getting antsy. Evie wants to go to highschool and she wants to kiss a boy. Because of this she starts to get a bit rebellious that leads to a little bit of chaos and some fun moments.

If it wasn't for Evie I don't think I would have given this book as many stars as I did. She definitely made the book!

There are an array of paranormal characters in here and it is interesting to hear some tidbits about them. They range from vampires and werewolves to mermaids and hags....

If you are looking for a fun and witty book, but one that has action and some drama in it you should pick up Paranormal by Kiersten White!
